Development and Capital Investment in Morgantown

Create WV Conference: How to Market to Talent in the New Economy

The following is a guest post by Justin Seibert currently attending the Create WV Conference.

This week over 200 West Virginians are getting together to develop plans of how various communities can better attract and retain talent. While it’s important to recognize the challenges we as a state face and to address them, we also need to build around the built-in positives that we enjoy: quality of life, affordable housing, great outdoors, low crime, etc.

While it involves much more, this conference comes down to marketing and improving our financial position. It’s great to see so many people genuinely motivated to improve our lot while not forgetting what we all love about West Virginia. The trick, after the conference is over, will be to keep ole mo’ going and starting to realize tangible change for the better.
