Sandy Sponaugle

Current Position:

Sandy Sponaugle presently serves as President of Platinum PR.

Background:

Sandy Sponaugle is the Founder and President of Platinum PR in 2002 to assist small businesses and non-profits with cost effective marketing and public relations needs. Platinum PR works with a variety of businesses and organizations, including the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Convention and Visitor's Bureau, the Contemporary American Theater Festival, Panhandle Home Health, Blue Ridge Community and Technical College, Ramon's Catering, and Willow Tree Manor.

Prior to starting the business, Sandy spent more than ten years in the economic development field. She worked for the economic development authority in Jefferson County, West Virginia, with a focus on research and community relations. She then worked for the Frederick County Office of Economic Development in Frederick, Maryland, working extensively in business development with a focus on marketing, including direct mail campaigns, web site development and maintenance, and collateral material development.

Sandy has completed the University of Oklahoma's Economic Development Institute and received a Bachelor of Science in economics and business administration from Shepherd College. She is heavily involved in the local community as a member of both the Martinsburg-Berkeley County and Jefferson County Chambers of Commerce. Sandy serves as a board member and PR chair of the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle. She is currently president of the Greater Frederick Advertising Federation, a member of the Professional Business Women's Association, and serves on the board of directors for the Scarborough Society of Shepherd University and the Jefferson County Schools Education Foundation.

WV Tour Dates:

Sponaugle will join Next Generation Marketing on June 12. Attendes will be able to hear her thoughts at the Martinsburg event at the Holiday Inn Martinsburg.
